What Fall Means to Me
To me, fall is many things from colourful sights and seasonal smells. Fall is seeing the leaves on the trees change from a summer green to a warm orange, and watching them fall to the ground one by one. Fall is staying inside and listening to the quiet crackle of the fire. Fall is the exciting aroma of cinnamon in every bakery and café. Fall is drinking a hot drink to warm you up on a cold day. Fall is the feeling of a soft blanket, and a furry cat keeping me company. Fall is running around in the hundreds of leaves that have fallen on the lawn. Fall is gorgeous.

I took this photo by the fence in the back of Seaquam, we were using our photos to demonstrate how the aperture setting on a camera will affect the photos depth of field (D.o.F). Using aperture priority mode, I set my camera to have an ISO of 200 and an aperture of 3.5, I used the rule of thirds to frame my photo. Taking these photos was a lot more challenging than I thought, as I had to try and remember everything I learned about the camera from last year. I found this lock holding on the the fence outside of Seaquam and I thought it would make a really nice photo. Out of the three pictures I took with different apertures (f3.5, f9, f22) I like this one the best because of the shallow depth of field, I think it really makes the lock stand out from the colourful background.
