Classic Collection I really enjoyed taking photos for this photo challenge because it allowed me to go around in my house and discover all the collections of things we had. I am part of a musical family, everyone plays at least two instruments, and music is almost always playing. We have so many CDs in our basement, I would have used them all for this photo but there wouldn't be enough room! I decided I wanted this photo to represent something important in our family: music. One thing I found challenging about taking this photo was getting the "bird's eye view" angle. It was very difficult to move around the light I was using and not get a shadow that covered the CDs. I decided to call this photo 'classic collection' because the collection of CDs I used in the photo re all classics from different r the same decades. There is Meatloaf, Tom Petty, Great Big Sea, and even an album of songs that I used to listen to when I was really young. If I were to take this again I would try this from a different angle because I don't really like the angle I used for this particular photo. I really like how the colourful CDs contrast against the white background/

Citrus In this photo challenge I had a lot of fun experimenting with the contrast of colours in my photos. It was my mom who gave me the idea to use fruits as my subject, and a lemon, lime, and orange seemed like the perfect idea. I tried to use the rule of thirds in this photo to line up the fruit to look nicer, however I think I went a bit over the line on the grid. I dint have very good lighting for this photo, and I had to brighten it in Photoshop. If i could go back to when I was taking this photo I would experiment with different lighting and look at the different results. I'm really happy with the colours in this photo, and I like how the white background contrasts with the vibrant colors of the fruit. I decided to name this photo 'Citrus' because of the beautiful colours of the fruit. |
