Morning DewThis photo is my one of my favourite photos I have taken so far. I took this outside of Seaquam in the morning and I wanted to see what kind of picture I would get if I got very low to the ground with my camera and took a photo. I was really happy when I saw how this photo turned out. You can clearly see the little water droplets resting on the tip of the grass which I think is really nice. It was interesting how just looking at the grass from a different perspective could give such a different look to the photo. There are some areas in the photo where it is not in focus, and there is a glare from the sunlight at the top, but no picture is perfect. I had fun with this photo challenge and I am excited for next week.

Shades of AutumnI had a lot of fun with this week's photo challenge. I tried new things with my camera and tried to include some of the new methods for a good photograph that I have learned. The sky was very grey the day I took this photo, and it allows for the colour of the leaves to become the focus of this picture. I named this photo 'Shades of Autumn' because the photo displays many different shades of orange and red that appear on a tree this time of year. Next time I will try to take more time with one photo, and change the aperture or shutter speed to see what looks best. Apart from a few other minor things, I am really proud of this photo. ObserveThis week, I tried experimenting with the rule of thirds. I saw these birds outside my house, sitting and watching the neighbourhood together and thought they would make a great black and white photo. The weather on the day that I took this photo was overcast, so it allowed the birds on the street light, my subject, to stand out. I decided to name this photo 'observe' because the birds were watching and observing the neighbourhood from above. This picture was taken with my phone so it is kind-of blurry, however I am still really proud of how it turned out. If I were to take this picture again I would use a better camera, and maybe zoom in more on the birds. Reflecting MemoriesThere is a small park close to where I live called Boundary Park. I took a lot of photos of the ducks that swam near me, but this one was my favourite. It reminds me of when I was little and used to go to this park. I called it the "Duck Pond", I named a lot of the ducks and had picnics under the willow trees. I named this photo 'Reflecting memories' because the calm water is reflecting a duck from the "Duck Pond", the duck symbolizes my memories from when I used to go to the park w hen I was younger. I think this picture turned out pretty well, however the body of the duck is quite dark, so I should have made the photo brighter. |
