Game OverThis photo challenge was interesting, because I learned about mood in photography and how something as simple as colour can affect it. Blue is a fascinating colour, it can be both joyful and depressing, so it was fun to try and achieve both moods in my photos. I took this picture while walking outside on a foggy day. It was kind-of cold and it was late morning, but barely any sun. I am really happy with how this turned out, I think the blue is very nice and adds a dramatic tone to the photo. The grime on the backboard and the red hoop really make the subject stand out and I tried to use rule of thirds as best as I could. I tried to edit out the other basket ball hoop in the corner, but it didn't look that great, I would have liked to have just one in the photo. I named this photo 'game over' because I think the hoop represents happy kids playing basketball, but the blue brings a depressing and mysterious mood to the photo, ending the "game".
