Les Goûts de ProvenceUnderstanding the difference between still life and regular photos was difficult for me at first, however I was able to gain inspiration from paintings and other photos. Lucky for me, my family had started a small cheese and bread plate, so I used the opportunity to take a photo. I really like this photo because it brings back memories of sunny afternoons in the south of France with family and friends. I am proud of this photo because it reminds me of something that would be painted, and that was my goal for this photo challenge. I did not want to edit these photos too much, because it would take away from the realness of it all, however I did lower the saturation on this photo and I like the way it turned out. If I could retake this photo I would use a different background colour. The colour is from my babe, which the cheese and bread and wine were already on, but I think the wine and the table share similar colours, which I don't like. The name of this photo, 'Les Goûts de Provence', in french means 'The tastes of Provence', and I think it is a perfect fir for this photo because bread, cheese and wine are all common things to eat in Provence.
